Property conveyancing refers to the process by which there is a transfer of title of property between two parties, the buyer and the seller. Conveyancing begins generally from the time you enter a contract to buy or sell, and ends with the registration of the property transfer at the land titles office in the relevant jurisdiction.

Property settlement is the time at which representatives of each of the parties involved meet to check and exchange final documents, and the payment for the purchase price is made. Shortly after the settlement date, the registration of the property transfer will take place at the land titles office.
